Can any Americans tell me why US military never really adopted foot drill seriously? Is it taught in training?

We've got volunteer troops that do extra training for ceremonial stuff like this. You'll see them at military funerals or the tomb of the unknown soldier at Arlington Cemetery

Isn't foot drill a fundamental part of instilling discipline though?
>>

everyone do drills but if you want perfect coordination you want the people that do it all the time

>only special units for ceremonies and certain tasks wear parade uniforms. instead of 6 hours of drill practice you get 2 hours of drill and a crap ton of PT and then hours of combat training. the values are a tiny bit different
according to a youtube comment
no clue how accurate it is

Isn't that kinda dangerous?

We do drills but overall we don't have too much emphasis on it anymore.
