Anyone have any experience? any advice? which parts of town to avoid, and which ones to go to? How to deal with people, anything else?
First time going abroad on my own.

I'm curious: why does 4chan seem to hate Turks? I know this site hates everyone, but they seem to have more vitriol for turks than other groups (with the exception of blacks, women, and Jews).

Make sure the Taxi is not set on night mode, it very often is the case when they realize you're a clueless tourist.
There isn't any interesting points in Ümraniye, Bostancı and Ataşehir. Just apartments and living zones. I don't know other points so much. Damn I'm so neet. And don't forget that you can get blown up every second. I barely survive in this shitty country.

general tip for westerners/white people who want to travel to ME; you will get ripped off.
Unless you dont buy anything(including food and other essentials) and use busses/metro instead of taxi, you will get ripped off.
Make sure if you are gonna buy food, its from someplace where you can read the prices off from a menu, learn to use the metro instead of taxi
