I was thinking last night that I can't be a NEET forever, and that in 10 years I'll feel even worse that I haven't done anything with my life, so I decided to take the first step, and I stayed up all night writing down and saving all the info for every position I could qualify for. There were some that were stretches, but I wanted to show my mom I was making the effort and that I was serious. I had organized it and made a quick chart about the pros, cons, who, what, when, and where, and was proud of my work since it's the first thing I've actually done in at least a year. So I show it to my mom, and she just laughs at me and goes through each and every single job and tells me why I wouldn't get accepted and that it was hopeless and I shouldn't bother. I think I'm about to cry.
