If you want to be technical, GB is just the bigger of the two main islands (containing England, Scotland and Wales), the other one being the island of Ireland (containing the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland).
The UK is GB+Northern Ireland. No one really cares if you call the UK Great Britain though, but calling it England is pushing it. Cornwall is not a country.
