kpop is just another non creative commercial entertainment anywhere in the world. its all about money and money sucking business. nothing more nothing less.
anyway they lack DIY/indie/underground/self-made cultures in every way. they dont have any kind of interesting DIY shit like indie music, indie games, indie fashion brands, self made animations, and indie mangas that are distributed through physical media, and shit.
there might be some of those out there but so far i havent been able to find out their actual creative stuff.
ive actually wasted time searching for it and probably wont research it anymore. at least i researched korean artists on bandcamp, korean web manga, plenty of korean cgs/drawings, korean fashion brands, and twitter in hangul with a translator, but couldnt find out anything interests me.
