Having strong labour laws that promote good conditions for it's workers and unions combined business laws are vital. Having one with the other leads to huge issues down the line.
The rest of China and the majority is still shitty as fuck and their working and living conditions in those areas are shit and china relies on keeping areas utter shit to have a massive source of heavily underpaid workers and it artificially manipulates it's currency as well as heavily undercutting it's industry to stupid lengths which it can do so because it's China. Hong Kong is the financial centre of Asia and part of a huge port of trade. South Korea and Japan had a fuck ton of aid form American and leniency when they stole shit Intellectual Properties from other countries as well as American buying all their shit up as a form of assistance in the early years.
Having the Death penalty as your only solution to crime is the shittiest idea ever because it doesn't tackle the issue of the development and reasons of crime and much better solutions to it. Also the amount of time it takes to get a DP verdict and the costs in doing it would be atrociously high unless SA were to turn into some borderline Sharia state.
