Go to Croatia, pretend to like fish and wine, pretend to like sitting in the 40°C weather on the floor on a yoga mat covered in pine needles, pretend to enjoy roasting for hours each day on the sun, staring at the same old desert island across the strait for 14 days to a month...Slovenes call it 'recharging one's batteries'. Number one is obviously midsummer (in terms of "importance/hype"), number two are the crayfish parties in August.
But high school/senior school graduation is a pretty big thing here. Every year in the beginning of june/late may huge trucks drive around, functioning as mobile party stages where the graduates party hard for 1-2 hours while the trucks drive through central parts of the city they live in.
One truck for every class, and then you are often allowed to bring some additional people like friends to make it a better party.
After that you are usually a bit drunk and totally soaked in beer > time to go home and celebrate your graduation with friends, family and relatives. Then later on during the night there are huge parties at night clubs where only students (and their friends sometimes) are allowed entrance.
