Do europosters live on streets like this?
Or do you live in commieblocks outside of the city?
>>59843444
Is that Madrid?
I live in what looks like a compressed version of an american suburb.
>>59844081
yes
>>59843444
i live in a comfy house with a big yard
>>59844171
I live in 'Stalin-era bulding'.
Feels good man.
Stalin did nothing wrong.
>>59844262
that's a nice building
>>59843444
commieblock outside the city
>>59844171
Nice (I've just been there a couple of times, but looked familiar).
And to answer the question, it depends. New-ish cities mostly have modern tall-ish buildings, some of which might be commieblocks or at least look like them (especially those created during the 90s and 2000s).
Most towns and cities here (notice I don't mention small villages, as most of them would look like pic related, near Madrid) are kinda old, though, so if you happen to live in a part that's not the outskirts (that might be even contemporary), you'll probably live among those kinds of buildings you started the thread with.
>>59843444
Yes, this is from where I live.
>>59843444
in russia 4 room apartment 85sqm in pic related costs about $12k
in commeblock it costs about $7k
why pay more for same if you're not a richman
I live in a massive house on a lot of land 2bh.
not memeing, but also not my house exactly.
>>59843444
I live in a boring suburb.
Heh
Sadly reality isn't always a tourist heaven in it's best time of the year after photoshop :/
I live in something similar to this

I live in a village desu

I was homeless for a few months this year here in DC. They gave me public housing after I picked up the unemployment form and filled it out.
DC is generous to us. I'm a nightguard at Georgetown University now.
>>59845016
I live more in the city center, and you know the advantage to living in the ugliest building in the street..
>>59843444
yes :D is madrid but in a town of madrid
>>59845455
No one visits?
>>59845443
do you live in some kinda the wire meets the PJs meme-ghetto?
>>59843444
I live in the countryside with a lawn big enough to play a 5 a side soccer match Burgerclap
>>59845504
You've got the best view of every home in your street
Something like this. Literally a fucking ghetto. Every shitty village or depressing commieblock much better than this putinblocks.
>>59845455
Looks more like a town centre than a city centre desu
>>59845015
You have apartment AREAS for students?
REEEEEEEEEEE
>>59843444

At least I don't own apartment here, only rent, and will move out soon.

>>59845694
I'm sure you do too in Germany, Hans.
I mean, here it's not as prevalent as in, say the US, but we still have those for some colleges (not the one I go to, but that's basically inside the town, so yeah).
>>59845668
>depressing commieblock much better than this putinblocks.
are there any differences m8
>>59845694
even we have those
this one is from Belgrade, idk if they have them in other cities
it's a bunch of commieblocks but looks good
>>59845765
>not owning a farm
Besides, there are these things called cars and/or public transport.
>>59845746
You don't like it?
I really want to live at 20th floor. Isn't it cool?
Non-commieblock apartment in a shitty commieblock hood
Truth be told, old townhouses here tend to make worse ghettos than commieblocks if they're not dead in the city center.
>>59845685
ah yeah, you're right. Dutch only differentiates between dorp (village) and stad, which can be either town or city
>>59845694
even we have big housing areas for students
>>59845694
Of course, they are like small towns within bigger cities. So damn comfy and fun to live surronded by other students
I used to live here
>>59844827
Weird, looks like you average west coast suburb
In a students apartment facing the canals with a bar right next door. Pretty much like winning the lottery.
>>59846039
are there a lot of mosquitoes there? where I live, such canals would be miserable because of the mosquitoes.
>>59845854
>owning a farm
kinda jelly
do own it for yourself or for selling grown products?
>>59846112
Pretty much non-existent. It's in the middle of Copenhagen so there's hardly any insects at all
>>59843444

>>59845811
I feel myself like a pathetic ant here, literally Hongkong-tier district. Commie buildings got at least twice lower height and more green space around.

>>59843444
Checked & something like this
Kinda. I study in Venice and managed to find a student house on the main island. It costs a fuckton, it's unconfortable as all hells, full of annoying tourists and in summer the channels smell like sewers but holy shit living at a 15 minutes walk from Rialto is completely worth it.
>>59845668
>>59845746
I like it

No.
>>59847170

Who knows /commieblock/ feel?
>>59845694

>>59845768
No, we do not.
We have special houses for them but they are spread all over the city.
>pic related one of them in my city, damn jelly of students getting a room there
>>59846770
it always looked to me like a lot of houses in the UK looked identical. I know the USA does it too but no matter where you look on street view in any British city you'll find neighborhoods like that.
My street
>>59848070
pretty much yeah
These are like tiny apartment blocks, or whatever they're called in English. A little further there's single-family homes and the other way some apartment blocks closer to the center. It's a small town, I'm about a ten minute walk away from the center and train station

>>59849024
If you arent going to post them then fuck off
>>59849048
lol i never thought anyone would take a pic of a single road like that, but we did cuz we fucked and wanted to laugh at it when we saw it years later.
also shes from norway and someone would probably recognize her since that country is so small
>>59847438
Holy shit, my city has a place that looks almost exactly like this, minus the railroad. Is it East Germany? Looks comfy as fuck.
>>59849357
Yes it's eastern Berlin
>>59843444
Nah, that looks very mediterian
Here most people in cities live in these 19. Century appartments buildings
They look exactly same in any central europan city(prague, vienna, budapest)
>>59843444
No, I live in a detached house (yes, with my parents). Finland is a quite sparsely populated country

Actually the place was unfurnished and I lived like a bum and never bothered to furnish it, and the heat was hard in summer cos no AC, but it had some advantages I guess

It's always empty in the summer because the students all leave. But it's much more lively during the school year. The only students who stay during the summer are the students from China and India.

I know some fellow students who do, the rents aren't even that expensive but as soon as one flat is free you know it'll be taken in a matter of hours
I spent the whole afternoon chilling there
>>59851104
go study in europe for a year then. Can't be more expensive than studying in america, right?

Likewise. I'm not usually a fan of the Mediterranean region (I hate the hot climate and prefer woods and mountains) but I like all the marble and other rock materials.
>>59844201
This.
>>59851876
>I'm not usually a fan of the Mediterranean region (I hate the hot climate and prefer woods and mountains)
Me too. I live up North in a city surrounded by forest(pic related).
However I get a somewhat Med architecture that really fits the area.
>>59852173
Very nice. I would never think this was Portugal if you didn't tell me, to be honest.
>>59844201
The comfiest way to live, no other way around it.
>>59852604
Yeah I'm used to stereotypes.
Everyone expects olive trees and villas and whatever and architecture like Lisbon.
Here is a video from our neighbor city.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=djD9nxOiJU4
We say the North is a nation by itself because it kinda is. The Iberian peninsula is a clusterfuck of European cultures.
However all we get is Bullfighting, Fado, Flamenco and all that, stuff that has influences from outside Europe. That is exotic and sells.
Stupid desu we have much more to show than shitty dances and music made by Moors and even Gypsies.
>>59847749
How is it like to live in a labyrinth, senpai?
>>59845694
The student housing organizations own entire apartment building which they rent only for students. So the whole building is nothing but university students. It's also really cheap compared to living in normal housing but the downside is you have to live with roommates(house mates? you don't actually share a room)
>>59843444
both
>>59849207
Yeah, I know everyone in Norway. Is her name Hanne?
>>59853399
How old are you? We dont have "rooms", they are legit apartments around 30-70m2 with kitchen and shower room
>>59853779
I'm 25 and live in a student housing in Helsinki with 2 roommates. Each of us have our own rooms and share the kitchen and toilet/shower
