I don't know how you would come to such a conclusion. A lot of countries want and benefits from having a certain degree of power projection. Switzerland is not one those countries, since it's completely surrounded by other countries.

There are more countries in the same situation. Czech Republic, Hungary, Austria, Slovenia. Should they all disband their military and let surrounding countries cover for them? Sweden isn't even in NATO but I see you give them too much credit. It's nothing more than a false sense of security, especially with the US being openly unhappy about Europe's contribution to NATO and Trump already saying Europe needs to pull their own weight. I can see the US leaving NATO in the near future if it stays like this.
Also, besides not defending their airspace after 5 pm, there's also no air policing after 5 pm in Switzerland. That means if a plane is hijacked, they have to beg France to escort the plane. That happened a while ago I believe. I don't call that a sweat deal.
