The US dollar is artifically inflated b/c it is the reserve currency of the world. If the US dollar ever lost that status, the value of the US dollar would drop at least 10 - 20% overnight and this the GDP of the US would do the same since it is denominated in US dollars.
What is so hard to understand about that?
