I haven't been camping in nearly a year but the last time i went it was a really enjoyable experience. I'd like to go again soon

Lol camping sucks if your doing it right. Its cold, sometimes it's wet, the ground is hard and no matter how much you think you cleared the site you still end up with a rock in the back, you have to dig a hole to go in the bathroom in and squat above it like a Chink, etc.

Would love to, have wanted to for years, but I have no friends, and can't go alone cause that just sounds so boring.
Had a chance last summer, but it was in a context that I really disliked and didn't want to be with that group of people for a while, and they aren't exactly friends with how they dislike me, and I also overslept which also prevented it. I really wish I had someone to go camping with. I have wanted it for so many years.

I love camping. I hate mosquitos though. But I love fishing. I love tents and sleeping in tents too. So comfy with the crisp air in the morning and what not.
Never been camping yet tBh but I've been going hiking quite a bit lately. Before this year I never had anyone to go with so I never went, but now suddenly my friends have a nature boner so I finally have people to go with

Meh, if you can't get past stuff like this you'll never have fun. Plus they take a good while to get embedded in you. They are bad this year though, every time I've went I've found at least six or so on me.
We are going often into woods, but we don't oversleep there. Usually it's a afternoon + evening/night trip. Once its dark, we make fire and put some meat on it. Oh I forgot that we do all that with drinking alcohol. But when its over we just go home.
I would love to camp with tents and sleeping bags but I have no friends willing to join that experience. My gf also doesen't think it's a good idea because thicks and other insects.
It's a shame because the most dangerous animal here in forrest is probably a boar.
