>why don't men overdress everywhere they go

Styles change lads. be glad things aren't static and boring. Plus they look better if they are only used for special occasions.

But this style is not static and boring.
I mean just look at 1920s and 1930s difference in cuts and materials.
ANd we're not even including sporty details like the half belt on the picture.
Truth is tradional man's clothing is very diverse in terms of cuts, details and material.
Not everything is plain worsted wool. There's a looooot of patterns and textures in jackets, it's actually very diverse.
If anything most mainstream fashion is static and boring.

For most people in the West suits were for funerals, weddings, church, and other formal occasions.

You think anyone in agriculture, construction, or industry wore suits to work?

If we're talking about back in the early 20th century u r wrong
>>
>>59633784
I do.
Minus the vest,
and unfortunately, I don't always wear the tie. I don't feel entitled to : I'm not rich, and as a student I don't have a dress code.
I honestly just like ties. And I want to wear them for myself, I just feel too pompous, and a bit extravagant.
Luckily, examinations is a period in which wearing a tie is justified.

Modern day quality suits are expensive, especially if the natural materials are around 50% and higher.

Eh.
You can find good deals nowadays. Suitsupply is a decent place with reasonable prices.
There's also Ebay.
I think nowadays a good quality suit is very affordable.
>>
>>59633784
I do.
But only for official occasions.
>>
>>59634046
These men are needlessly sweaty while at work.
>>
>>59633784
Why would you wear a suit when you're shut in your room all day
>>
>>59635395
I'm not tbhonest lad.
I do like vintage style doe.
I had my tailor do a vintage style coat.
>>
>>59635446
>I had my mom do a vintage style coat.
Ok
>>
But men do dress like that.

I have a 3 piece. Take the jacket off while at work and only wear the crisp white shirt with the vest. Roll the sleeves up to show my masculine forearms.
