Im wondering if stand up comedy popular in your countries or is it just a usa and uk thing? Also in poland stand up never was a big thing because most popular are cabarets, group of people doing comedy sketches on scene. Is this form of making people laugh exists outside of Poland? I never saw things like that on youtube from states or other countries, Here people from cabarets are more popular than actors and musicians.

Can't speak for other countries but stand-up comedy isn't just about being funny here like it once was (ages ago). The greats are all social commentators who offer their "unique" perspectives on things. Sometimes these guys are anti establishment but they're protected by the constitution.
