Brits had better weapons and used divide and conquer method which works surprisingly well in regions with lots of smaller kingdoms fighting each other. Also Mughal Empire was on it's last legs and getting fucked repeatedly by the Marathas.
india was made up of many nations
in order to rule over them they appeased then controlled the remnant of the biggest, the mughal and the maratha
after many military districts and so forth the indians began to rely them for order and protection so they introduced centralized bureaucracy for the whole sub-contient
YW!

>Did british make india better?
In some ways yes, but in many ways no. They did create the railway system and put in place a good school system. But they also completely ruined manufacturing and the economy in India.

Do you think Brits made India better in the long run?

It made individual nation states worse but they introduced the indian patriotism and universial education and colleges so it is double-edged
India the sub-continent became india in country, for better or worse

Brits exploited indian infighting.

I don't think there would be a single united India today if it weren't for the British Raj. But I think individually the smaller kingdoms would have been better off now if there was no colonialism. But it could also have just as easily turned into a mess of constant wars like the middle east so no one really knows.

We were a nation divided and used to being ruled, easy and profitable target
Technology+making friends in the right places helped the brits out
Pretty much what other posters have said.
Sad to say but cuck and Beta are both words that fit India

this should answer all your questions lad

Yeah that's moronic and not what happened. Why do brits always try to twist history to fit their narrative? Actual British soldiers did barely any fighting. They formed alliances with other kingdoms and slowly took over that way.
