>>59073859
>>59073972
isn't putting 'le' and 'la' before 'Francais' wrong? I think that's like saying 'the French'. Also, 'Francais' is masculine so it goes with 'le'.

I haven't studied the language in 3 years, so I can't tell you for sure.

'le Français' is ok as in saying 'the French' (as in nationality). 'la français' is wrong, in any case it would be 'la française' (as in the French woman).

Je étudié Français, maybe? Isn't "J'ai" 'I have' or 'I am'? I only know that because to say your age you can say "J'ai 20 ans". Then again I wouldn't know, I just started learning a month ago. I guess you could also be saying it as "I have studied"?
>>59074288
Yup, le passé composé.
I studied French is what I was saying.
>>59074330
Oh, my mistake. Is it hard to study French for you English-speaking natives? I don't find it that hard because Romance languages are related and shiet. Do you have the same thing with German or Scandinavian languages?
>>59074374
Not at all. I found it really easy and I got a B2 in my leaving certificate on it. There's a lot of loan words from French in English, so it's just a matter of learning off some verbs and the vocabulary falls into place.
Can't say anything for German or Scandinavian languages since I haven't looked into them.
Bonne chance avec tes études en Français.
>>59074450
Merci beacoup!

You shouldn't use definite articles with the verb parler
>Je parle anglais etc
but for the rest aimer, étudier, it is indeed with the definite article
>J'ai étudié le francais, j'aime le chinois etc.
it sounds more natural this way

I actually have been living here for several years.
I'm married and have a child on the way so it's probable that I will be staying a bit longer!
But maybe I'll have to move to Colombia in a few years.
I do travel all across the americas for my work and I go to BA at least twice a year. I plan on escaping to Mendoza for a few days when it's summer again where you live!
