CALLING ALL FRENCHMEN AND FRENCH-SPEAKING PEOPLE
I'd like to know if the patent below by Clement Pottet in 1849/1850 describes a repeating shotgun or not. If it is a true repeating weapon, that's quite a historical achievement, which makes it weird that there's not more about it and makes me wonder if it's really a true repeating weapon or not.
You can find the patent by searching for Pottet in the third category down at this website: http://bases-brevets19e.inpi.fr/index.asp?page=rechercheAvancee

I'm not sure, the patent title is about a "deux coups" rifle, which means "two shots", don't know anything about gun but I don't think it's a repeating shotgun.

This. There is some full patents but his cursive are shit and the resolution make it a pain in the ass to read
Does this help?

Hum, it's too technical for me, sorry

OP here, this is what I mean. Going off that picture, which is all I have as I don't know any French, it does look like a repeating weapon yet I can't find anything else about the patent so I have no way of knowing for sure. For what it's worth, it's only about eleven pages, and if that's too much for you guys, perhaps you could just skim it and tell me the gist of what you got?
holy fuck the writing
painful to read
Can you guys at least tell me how I can translate the patents? Like, is there a way to get a transcript of them?
