Atleast it shows that the rapefugees are willing to learn swedish outside of school since Duolingo is not used in school or for homework.
And as some people have already pointed out more than 90% of Swedes already speaks english to some extent while also learning either german/spanish/french in school.
Neighbouring countries languages are already so similar to swedish that there is no need to study their languages to interact anyways
