In blue is Morocco. In green is SADR, which are some separatists. Both claim the whole thing but this is who controls what.
SADR's claim to the whole area has about as much recognition as Kosovo does, i.e. quite a good amount but by no means the whole world. Morocco claims it and controls half of it but only some countries actually recognize that.
