There were four mechanics in that thing when it caught fire, two escaped and could get down, the other two didn't.
Going down in a Vestas is pretty difficult, as the gearbox is right above the tower, leaving only a small gap the people can crawl through.
The way to go down from the outside is on the back, which was on fire.
