I am unfamiliar what sort of unnamed stream sites you are talking about, but as long as it's not kiddy diddling I doubt you'll get in trouble. Even if it is trouble-territory I doubt you're being monitored, I haven't heard a single case of crackdown on viewing pleasures in years. So, you're probably fine? I'd say if you want to play it safe just don't risk it, even if only to be kind to the owner.

I think you should be fine torrenting stuff, but avoid stuff made in Norway, and don't get into organized piracy groups.
