Meth is cheap as fuck, easy to get, and since Oxy is no longer available there were a bunch of junkies that needed a replacement and meth fits the bill. There's money to be made on the back of users, but users need money, so more crime and more gang violence. It's not that crazy, but it's certainly unfortunate and depressing
