Hey int, I am trying to learn Spanish and French at the same time this summer. Is that a bad idea?
Does anyone have any tips for learning vocab? I'm most stressed about that aspect. There's like 100 words per chapter in each of the languages. I feel as though making 100 flash cards every couple weeks isn't really practical.
I imagine it would be easy because they're so similar, but some words might get mixed up for the same reason. Find a native speaker and get them to help you out is my advice

Vocab in spanish is easy. Most words are cognates, like computadora for computer, posibilidad, possibility, hambre, hungry, orden, order. Just learn the cognates and use acronyms for harder words. In fact, you can bullshit your way through most cognates. French is harder, but then again, the english language is french almost given all the cognates it shares.

Very bad idea. You're going to mix up grammar and the vocab, guaranteed. Start with one and when you're comfortable with it, move on to the other. There's no rush, man.

Maybe he's learning american spanish. There are a few differences and regionalisms between the languages.
