Canada has the most nazi-like immigration requirements I've ever seen, I can't believe these are allowed to exist in 2016.

I don't understand. The implication here is that Canada exports a lot to the United States and that's a bad thing? Isn't a positive trade balance generally seen as something to work towards? Aren't Canadian exports to the U.S. therefore a positive for Canada, both politically and (obviously) economically?

I guess the precise statistic being pointed out is that the *bulk* of Canada's exports abroad are to the U.S., and that's a valid concern to have, that Canada is too focused on trade with one specific other country. My province, Saskatchewan, the fifth most populous of Canada's ten provinces, exports more to other countries besides the U.S., per capita, than any other province. Somewhere very near 100% of Ontario and Alberta's exports are to the U.S. Only British Columbia even comes close to Saskatchewan for trans-continental exports.

Coincidentally, Saskatchewan and British Columbia are also the only two provinces that have had right of centre provincial governments for any length of time recently. The Liberals and NDP are in bed with the Democrats: Trudeau's campaign staff formerly worked to elect Barrack Obama, and most of the NDP's union backers are tied in with unions south of the border. The leader of the Green Party, Elizabeth May, is literally an American citizen, born in Connecticut. The previous Liberal leader before Trudeau had lived in the U.S. for twenty years before running for Prime Minister and moved back to the U.S. again after losing to Harper. If Canada wants to expand its trade bases, it needs to elect the right people for the job.

tl;dr Canada is so closely tied together with the United States because of the personal interests of left-wing politicians.

I see no problem in the chart. USA is Canada's closest trade partner and it is only practical that most exports will go there

Being so dependant on one trading partner is a bad thing. Diverse economies are much stronger

and what is supposed to be funny on that statistic shown on the picture? It's kinda logical that they trade mostly with the USA, it's the only country not half a globe away from them.
