I know cause I try to speak deliberately and because I understand every word they say to me, so when I respond I always respond from my understanding of what they're saying. Yes I absolutely do this but not unconsciously. I do it on purpose cause I want them to understand me and build confidence and because that's their level. Pidgin is when you deliberately speak incorrectly in an effort to simplify the communication.

I can understand that too. I guess it depends on the relationship. I appreciate people using simplified language if it's something major like if I were buying a car. But if I'm speaking to a colleague or friend and they did that I'd feel stupid.
