Hey /int/, just got back from a coin show and picked up this beauty. I purchased a big lot of international coins and found a gold UK sovereign, which looks to be a poo in the loo version because of its "I" mintmark. Pretty cool coin that represents the British empire at its height when they had commonwealth mints all over the world. Apparently it was only minted in India for one year.
I also found old silver Argentine coins from the 1930s and old American Flying Eagle cents from the 1850s.
Post your favorite coins and currency from around the world and let's have a discussion of the history and beauty of those coins

I liked our old coins, they looked really nice. I managed to keep a few of each back when we went for euros.
