Taking a Google Earth streetview tour uncovers many interesting sights:
-Even around strict downtown, there are almost no whites present on the sidewalks;
-most office buildings, including their multi-level garages, have window grills on the 1-st and 2-nd storey
-Grills and simple checkpoints visible within at least some entrances
-Buildings with no security bars on their window are surrounded by high fences, leaving no way inside other than main entrance. Buildings without either precaution exhibit signs of disrepair.
-It is very common (like, every 100m or so) to see blacks sitting idle
-The only open space parking lot I've seen not only has a fence erected around its perimeter, but it is also protected by barbed wire.
