No it's the opposite, if people stop buying them then they will become harder to find and the price will go up.
Companies in the US never will never sell products at a loss, or low volume goods at a small profit only, they would rather just throw away the goods.
For the fashion industry especially if there is a line of clothes that doesn't sell, they won't reduce the price they will destroy all the clothes.
