To be honest, stockpiling gold seems fruitless. Norway has it "The Oil Fund", but a bunch of armchair "economists" always yell that we should sell out and buy gold instead, without realizing that what gives the oil funds actual growth is the revenue from dividend. The stock value isn't important unless the company is about to go bankrupt. as the dividends is what, well, oils the fund.
Gold on the other hand, just sits there, and is only as valuable as long as people say it is. If there's a literal apocalypse, gold won't mean shit unless people somehow still agree to barter with a heavy and mostly useless metal that's just pretty and pure.

Just like any other politician in history he promised way more than he could deliver. But I haven't really strongly opposed anything he's done. His whole SJW act is a PR facade, and most people I know laugh about it in a non-serious way. Personally I like him much more than Harper.
