This right here is why Eastern Europe will never catch up.

Like, people here are hoping we get into the EU so they would be able to work abroad. The """help""" EE countries get from EU is literally nothing compared to what people from EE are doing to help keep Germany's, Austria's, Denmark's, etc, economy stable. It's fucking pathetic when people from those countries are complaining about the money EU gives to EE countries.

>catch up
Catch up to what? Unsustainable social and economic policies? Cultural suicide? Welfare state-ism?

All right, you have slightly higher quality of life, and just because of this you think you are 'right' when it comes to how entire state should be? Lolno, if anyone is going to do any catching up, you people are going to catch onto what we are doing over here, or you are going to disappear entirely, and when you are finally over saturated with muslims enough, YOU will have a lower quality of life than us, and if this is your only metric, than you would end up being 'wrong'.

How much you can afford with your wage adjusting to local prices

All of these maps are bullshit because they all focus on global economy and completely disregard local economy, in which people live. What if people are focused on producing for themselves, instead of producing for someone outside the borders? They get low meaningless numbers.

Who cares about participating in the global economy when you can just build everything you need for yourself. When they declare the biggest economic crisis in history, nothing changes over here. When they declare the biggest prosperity in history, again nothing changes.

Its all bullshit.

And if a nation has higher industrial capacity than it needs.... its a waste.

Lets say Serbia starts up the biggest, most huge ship building heavy industry. Well it would be a huge waste to us Serbs.. sure, it might make money for us because everyone else has a sea, but we dont, so we dont need this high industrial capacity.

You need what you need, and global economy is bullshit that keeps crashing 24/7 because its based on yet more bullshit. I do realize the concept can be extremely successful in theory but so far all I see out of it, is waste creation.

Its a profit that depends on other people to work. The more parts a system has, the more likely it is to fail.

Why depend on some people a million kilometers away? What if he decides not to buy? This model calculates all humans as 100% logical beings who never do any dumb shit. Which is why it keeps failing again and again and again and again.

Self sustainability > global economy and dependency.

Your country just joins a 100000 nations coalition and goes to war against middle east when your master United States demands it.
"Global economy" is just a buzzword, and people who participate in it just take stuff by force.
Your trading is bullshit. Its all highly political. Which is why you put economic sanctions on all potentionally highly profitable businesses that are not aligned with United States. Makes zero business/profit sense, but yet you do it every time for the sake of politics.

So screw your global economy, its just a code word for being a United States peon that can get sacrificed at any time.

But Serbia has the exact same problem.

Serbia likely has one of the highest corruption rates in Europe

Proper data in purchasing power partiy:

http://ec.europa.eu/eurostat/tgm/table.do?tab=table&init=1&language=en&pcode=tec00114&plugin=1

Proper data in nominal:

http://ec.europa.eu/eurostat/tgm/table.do?tab=table&init=1&language=en&pcode=tec00001&plugin=1

The nominal data is useful if you want to purchase say, Ipads, mercedes cars etc, anything you import - purchasing power parity won't help you there.

My bad about the table. Still, 15 years from now on is nowhere near realistic considering the current difference between GDP growth of Poland and EU25 is like 2%. I'd say 30 years is a safer estimation, and that's assuming no major fuckups with would send our economy down the shitter once again.
>>
>>58766340
if the local companies had good products for good value that means they were probably making money. In this case a) they would be able to easily get a loan, even from a foreign bank and b) it would make 100x more sense to buy them and develop their profit further instead of shutting them down and risking the market with your new, unknown brand

From a simple, purely protectionist perspective, you might have a point.

But for better or worse, our economies are linked -- and Poland's prosperity means less that the British taxpayer will put in.

Eventually, it'll develop into a more full economy, and serve as a more of a market for British (and other) exports.

Wrong. Those were parliamentary votes (how many people can every party put into parliament), he flopped hard, and he stole votes on half of the voting places, and those places had to re-vote.

Anyway he lost 1/3 of his parliament people.
Nobody cares for voting for this kind of bullshit, 60+ % of people didnt even go to vote. I also didnt even give a shit to go to vote.

But when the EU voting starts, I will go that day to vote against EU. Hell even if we enter EU with something like a 50.1% of the vote, we are going to protest so hard, that it's not going to happen. And by we I mean people who hate EU (right wing, most of police and military (who let us burn the American embassy last time we protested)) and so on.

There's no way in hell leftists or EU win anything in here. Almost all able bodied males here are nationalists. And we all know that all votes arent really created equal.
>>

>We would literally have to grow 5,5% every year and EU25 - 0% to be able to catch up that quickly.

That's not inconceivable. Poland has seen decades of continuous growth, while (all?) other EU nations have experienced years of recession... less than zero% growth.
>>

Majority of Serbs are dumb as bricks if that is your point, I agree. The more south you go the dumber we are and more votes Vucic gets.

I see a Serbian Serbia.

We stick to the friends we had for the last 1400 years. We make our own laws. We continue to cooperate economically with all friendly people, China built a bunch of shit recently here.
We are not subservient to NATO interests, to immigration quotas, to laws written in Brussel or where ever, and our lives do not depend on some foreign markets no one here ever even heard of. We do not tolerate our cultural sites being demolished by refugees or anyone else.
And we continue to pursue Kosovo and other historically Serbian lands that were forcefully taken from us.

We might be poorer for it but oh well, I dont care. Actually I am studying chemistry at EU certified uni and I could get a job in EU easy, hell I might even go and work in EU, but I just dont want my home country to join EU. I know how this sounds but I still dont care. At the end of the day I am retiring in my Serbian Serbia.
