South Africa was a totalitarian police state under apartheid and it was enormously expensive to run and not sustainable. Without that police state, they couldn't maintain minority rule. When Mandela took power, the state was so broke he literally told his supporters to stop expecting the government to pay for everything because they didn't have the money to pay for his election promises. I don't get why the far right is so obsessed with trying to maintain minority rule, everything about it was doomed from the beginning. From the church encouraging African nationalism to the enormous inefficiencies compared to free trade to get the resources they wanted control over. Portugal tried to maintain control of their African colonies and lost. Rhodesia tried to retain white rule and lost. South Africa tried to retain white rule and lost. Most Europeans decolonized Africa before that because they saw what was coming.

Why don't you research your claims before making stupid comments? Tons of African leaders have apologized for their role in slavery. There are memorial to the slave trade in Africa. Their k-12 school textbooks generally mention the slave trade and their role in it. Africans already did suffer from the slave trade because the economic and social impacts of selling off so many people stunted their development. There's tons of sources that expand on that aspect way better than I could.
Also communism is dead in Africa. In the 80s, the government debt was so crippling in most of Africa and Western aid donors demanded African governments free up their markets and privatize state owned industry in order to keep receiving aid and debt relief. The vast majority of them implemented the IMF/World Bank reforms, and most saw positive results.
