Yes. I could argue it was at its best when it had movies. Hell, they even show from time to time the first episode, when Tom looked like a weird fuck and so was Jerry.

We had a Mexican working for us whose kids loved it. It was all they watched.
I never understood why, but I eventually realized that there was no dialog, and the story was told through sight gags and physical comedy, and the kids spoke next to no English, so it was one if the few things on TV that they could follow and understand.
