Yeah Pennsylvania """ Dutch""" is weird as fuck. I grew up in that Region, the Pfalz and read some samples online. It has nothing to do with contemporary dialects and I has trouble making sense of the most basic poems.
Fun fact: the actress Mädchen (which is literally girl in German) Amick of Twin Peaks fame has ancestors from that Region as well, her last name indicates so.
Other than that, the Pfalz is nothing to write home about
