This is nothing to do with "interpreters" lol, I consider myself to have a good idea of English speaking level because my mums family is German.
I also worked in getting documents and passport stuff out to European staff for about a year mainly in Germany and almost all of them would have a decent professional level in the language which was either why they go there for simply because it makes things run easier. Also tonnes of German companies are not large city-multinationals and this is even more important.
If you're actually learning any language other than English or maybe Chinese for "business" or that kind of stuff you're an idiot. All important people already speak English.
Now the only reasons you got to learn another language are culture and how beautiful the language is in general. Who the fuck would want to learn German then?

Poverty is set by country Germany's is actually set to a easier level to be classed in than Frances otherwise Germany would have lower.
