Talking about America as a whole is pointless in regards to things like that; you need to look at the stats of individual States.

It'd be like if I tried to sum up Europe as a whole's unemployment.

It's not easy to find a job, even though our unemployment is relatively low. I can't even imagine what it must be like in Spain. Do people even think they have a chance of getting a job?

In the 70s when unemployment rose above 2% for the first time since the 50s tens of thousands were protesting and all newspapers were predicting the end of the nation. We need those days back.

It depends if you want to be a waiter or not. Best option right now is emigration.

Funny thing is many idiots who bother to inmigrate to another country and acgieve integration there, end up working as a waiter.
>>
>>58363976
honestly spaniards dont want to do shitty jobs that are realized by inmigrants.

We're getting a lot of Spaniards coming here to work in London. Spaniards, Portuguese and Frogs.

London is amazing, it's a monstrous job-creating machine sucking in labour from all around the world. There are so many people here that we have a housing crisis, yet never enough to satisfy London's need for more workers.

Real numbers are higher in Badstonia. Our unemployment agency is a private, for profit company. They only pay you for a year, after that the only reason to keep yourself listed as unemployed is to have health insurance provided by them. The "unemployment consultants" are proper cunts as well, feels like being interrogated by the police, who also ask you, in the most bitchy tone ever, "why are you here still?".

Even in good times we get around 15% unemployment.
High unemployment is an structural economic behavior in Spain. This is mostly because the economy is driven by tourism more than industry and therefore, lots of people only work in summer, part-time jobs or hiding from the law. We'll never have under 10% unempl.

False.Bussiness have to pay a lot for workers, social security and such, firing is super expensive and the burocratic work to maintain a worker is rather high. Opening a bussiness in Spain is hard
>>
>>58372372
This is hourly labor cost in euro for the EU. Spain is as you can see rather cheap, especially given that the hourly productivity is rather high (47US$ an hour, on par with the UK, Italy, and just a tiny bit lower than Finland).

I cant speak for any other country but its worth noting that for the agencies here, working like a couple of hours every week is enough to be counted as fully employed, even though its impossible to live on that.

Students are also not counted as unemployed, even the ones that are studying feminist bellydancing or whatever.
