Not everyone lives in a scorching hot area. It definitely has an effect, during July here I lost 4kg without even trying (from 92 to 88kg at 1.90m), but only because it was exceptionally hot, some days up to 40°C so I didn't eat anything until late evening. Pretty sure I'd be thinner too if I had that kind of weather from April to October
