I used to think it was really cool to like anime, but as I got older I realised anime fans were weird awkward neck beards...

My sister got into it before me, and introduced me to her friends in the "anime" club, and I noticed they were all a LOT more autistic than me. Smelly, weird, problem hair and glasses, acne. Just awful people over all.

Anime was way more popular in Latin America during the 80's to early 2000's than in Anglo countries. Basically everyone who is a fan of anime in Latin America has watched a lot of it as a kid. I think the same applies to countries like France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Germany, etc.
