Washington D.C Metropolitan area

Nope, further west.
>>58284493
Cincinnati?

Here's mine. I'll be back soon, gotta find the charger.

Nope, Chicago suburbs. I did live in Fort Collins, CO for a while and my roommate (from Houston originally) pointed out my Chicago accent and how it went away over time, but nobody else could tell where I was from.

You sound a bit northeastish. Pennsylvania?
>>58284926
Fairly close. I will be going there today. I live south of the Mason-Dixon
>>58285007
Coastal Virginia?
>>58285068
I live nearby the Potomac. There is some divide between my part of Virginia and the rest of it. I came here in preschool. We have a lot of Commuters to DC
>>58284283
I'd guess, like Northeastern.
>>58284701
... Virginia? The Nana and Papa threw me off
My mom is from the wet island across the Atlantic, so I tried to not pronounce things that way even though I have a tendency to do so.

I feel that this comes with living in a big metropolitan area. We essentially have the American equivilent of received pronounciation
>>58285273
Are you from Texas? The caramel and theater screams Texas.
As for Northeastern, you might have seen my earlier comment. Chicago suburbs. There is a Chicagoland accent but not many people have it except TV car salesmen.
>>58285513
When I said Northeastern and Virginia, I was referring to the pic you posted, so I guess Chicago falls within that.
But neah, not Texas. The theatre comes from my mom, probably. People used to think that was weird when I was kid. Obviously no one cares anymore.

No such thing.

But what am I going to read
>>58286696
I was going to guess Arizona, but tbqh um, do you have a cold?
>>58287064
No, I don't have a cold
>>58287064
>>58287136
And no, not Arizona.
Forgot that part
Hey! I'm from Jefferson Park (~Elston/Laramie) and I sound quite a bit like OP. Wouldn't happen to be from Park Ridge or somehwere in that area would you?
>american thread
>>58287265
Downers Grove, so pretty much right in the middle of the west suburbs. I feel like the South Side is the only part of Chicago with a really distinct accent.
>american """dialects"""
>>58288124
Go on?
>>58286837
That's actually really easy

Legit question: Is the netherlands big enough to have regional accents? In the US, even just a few km outside of a small-mid sized city you can notice a difference between people from the countryside and people from town.
>>58288438
Probably more than the whole of North-America

this, I actually didn't believe it they dared to do such a shit thread, but it seems like Ameriegos think they're the only country in the world.
>>58289070
OP here. Hey, I intended it for people from all countries but you guys had to jump the gun and make some crazy assumptions and ruin it for everyone. I could have done better by not using a picture of the US though.
