The EU shouldn't exist.
>>
>>58262358
>subservient

That's not how I see it. You know what the EU bureaucrats are always telling us? You can't have an a la carte EU membership, you're in or out. But that's what we have - opt-outs of the parts we don't want (Eurozone, Schengen etc) while keeping the good bits.

The UK has also been able to change how business is done on the continent since we joined, and in terms of population and GDP we're increasing relative to other big EU countries, so our influence will increase too.

I like our EU membership
>>

You mean like almost every politician in existence? What makes EU bureaucrats so much worse than regular bureaucrats?
>>
>>58260950
Brexit is really stupid, and so is every other EU skeptics in EU nations.

Don't mistake my intentions, I hate EU. But the only one who benefits from a dismantled EU right now is Putin.
When EU falls chances are that NATO will fall shortly thereafter, and Putin can do whatever he wants in Europe, just like in Ukraine.

Most of the EU skeptics have only one concern and that's immigration and refugees.
While blaming EU for all of it(and Germany), they seem to ignore the truth that Putin and his hybrid warfare is the core of almost all the problems in Europe.
Putin wants to dismantle you to pick you all of one by one, while you fling shit at each other and fuck it all up.
>>
>>58262953
If you acknowledge that all politicians are shady, why do you want another layer of shady faggots doing deals behind closed doors and who aren't responsible to the British general populace / parliament? Bonus points if the leader of this collective of shady politicians hold an office in an unelected part of the EU that holds most of EU's legislative power.
>>
>>58263211
>responsible to the British general populace
They are though, they just have to be responsible to everyone else too.

>They are though, they just have to be responsible to everyone else too

lol how? It's not like you can oust European Commission out of power by a popular vote or in any way. Even European Parliament that is supposed to be the safeguard of European peoples' interests can't do shit about European Commission.
>>
>>58262953

Having British bureaucrats we can remove is better than foreign ones we can't mate.
>>
>>58262525

>on the continent

What the FUCK do you care? We have our own nation, we should focus on that.

Again, this is a buzzword that means next to nothing if we're a sovereign nation. It makes us sound like the nerdy outcast kid hanging around with the cool kids.
>>
>>58263313

We can have a referendum though, which (in case you hadn't noticed) we are having. Anyway, I don't really have a problem with technocracy, they are put through many tests to make sure they are competent at the job, which is more than can be said for democratically elected officials.

They are there because they licked some old German's asshole clean. In no way can you claim that our current commission member Jyrki Katainen is the best guy from Finland to get a commission spot. He's a fucking cunt who knows shit all about being honest or managing a country properly let alone managing a commission position. Commission also spends shit tons of its budget to private flights, limousines and luxurious days off the office (https://www.thebureauinvestigates.com/2011/06/01/get-the-data-eu-commission-expenses/).

It's an undemocratic part of the EU that also just happens to hold top executive power, top legislative power and top enforcement power. Whoop-de-fucking-doo. Wonder how that happened!

What happens on the continent has a massive effect on what happens here. Since England started to become powerful, our leaders have tried to influence the continent because they learnt the hard way what happens when our nation can't affect continental developments.

Read some of our history and you should understand pretty soon.

The British public should know what countries like France, Germany, the USA, and other close partners think about our referendum.

He said two full terms as Prime Minister is more than enough, he doesn't want to stay in power longer than that. By 2020 (when he'll step down) he would have been Tory leader for 15 years and Prime Minister for 10 years.

The next leader of the Tory party, and our next Prime Minister as long as Labour continues its slow suicide, will be either George Osborne, Boris Johnson or Theresa May. The Tory party is ripping into itself over the European question and the leadership contest.
