That's not an example of Jackson going against the rules though. The Supreme Court ruled that Georgia has no jurisdiction over natives, nor does any other state have jurisdiction over any natives in their state. But who did this ruling give jurisdiction over natives to? The Federal government. This is part of the reason why native lands are so weird in terms of laws. They're not really their own land, they're not really part of the state that they lie within. The federal government had plenary power over the tribes, in particular, Congress. Well, Congress had just passed the Indian Removal Act. Since Worcester v. Georgia clearly layed out the relationship between the tribes and the federal government, Jackson proceeded with enforcing his will.
