The only people I know that obsess over them are guys that grew up reading the actual comic books and children.
The only superhero movie i have seen in a theater was Deadpool, but other than that I don't watch those movies or read the comic books.

The problem with this movie was it should've been broken into 2 parts. It was a 2.5 hour long movie yet it basically just felt like Superman 2 with Batman sprinkled in randomly.
Also Wonder Woman was the most interesting part of the movie but she only had like 2 minutes of screen time.
And Lex Luther being insane was a bad decision.

So far the only good comic book hero movie imho has been Captain America Winter Soldier.
Not just because it was a well shot and entertaining movie, but because it actually sticks and highlights what all these fucking Marvel movies (and the TV shows) have been leading up to, which is the Civil War arc.
And the whole god damn thing revolves around Steve Rogers deep disagreement with the US Federal government and how this country has changed.
DC is trying to do the same, which is to put the main plot on track to something bigger. But they are trying to do it all in this one film. It feels rushed.
