You know what that reminded me? About a week ago I made some really delicious salted caramel sauce*, and I planned to try it on pancakes. I put it on brownies with walnuts, and I used it in coffee, but I never put it on pancakes, because I never ended up making them. And I used the last of the brown sugar in that sauce.
Seriously fml.
*Recipe for anyone who digs caramel:
>Need 2 cups packed brown sugar, 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream, 1 stick salted butter, 1 tsp. vanilla extract, 1 tsp. butter pecan syrup, and a pinch of salt.
>Need a 3 quart saucepan or dutch oven.
>Add sugar, cream and salt.
>Stir with a wooden spoon (DO NOT USE METAL OR THE MIX WILL END UP CRYSTALIZING) on Medium heat until brown sugar is completely melted, and ingredients are completely mixed into a thick brown liquid.
>Immediately add 1 stick butter once sugar and cream are completely blended, and continue stirring until butter is completely melted..
>Allow mixture to reach a rolling boil, then cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring constantly.
