>tfw grew up in Arizona and was on the constant lookout for these things as a kid
We lived in Anthem from when it was just opened until like 5 years after that, and in that time we counted ~40+ scorpions in our house. It's not like we didn't have the house treated and stuff, there's just a fucking lot of them. I remember going to friends houses and playing outside at night and we had to look over the backyard with a blacklight first to make sure it was clear (scorpions, or at least some species of them, glow under a blacklight). I don't remember it, but my mom says she noticed one on my towel by my neck as I was walking from the bathroom to my room.

Doesn't matter

>>getting killed by a horse
Ever wonder why people say not to walk behind a horse?
>>
>>58150333
Had those too when I briefly lived in southern France. Ours weren't lethal however, but to compensate, there was also the constant threat of vipers and scolopendres (research if ye dare).
>>
>>58150074
>Birds could kill
So could staircases. We should shift this thread to
>his country has animals that would hunt youaa
>>
>>58150333
i got stung by a scorpion in my house (texas) when i was walking barefoot without my glasses on, but it didn't hurt more than a bee sting. some scorpion stings are lethal, but i don't think those types of scorpions live around here thank god.

the only thing i can think of here is rattlesnakes. one time in world history class a girl realized there was a rattlesnake on the window blinds just inches away from her head, and animal control had tome come in and slither the snake out.
>>
Supposedly here there are poisonous water snakes, poisonous spiders, and spiders that will melt your goddamn skin
I have seen one of the poisonous spiders, a lad got one and put it in a tupperware (the madman)
>>
>>58150552
Must have been a relatively harmless species of scorpion or it didn't inject much poison (or is it venom? I forget the distinction) for whatever reason. My mom got stung while handling a plant she just brought home from Home Depot and got stung by a scorpion and had to go to the ER.
>>
>>58150697
If you bite it and you die, it's poison.
If it bites you and you die, it's venom.
>>
>>58150482
Wolves, big cats, and bears are the only (land) animals that would actually hunt a human, though, right?

We don't have wild dogs, horses or sharks, as far as I know.

You're more likely to get killed by farm animals here. Like a cow who backs up to you.

In 2011 an 81 year old man died after being attacked by a cow.

Mosquitos in first world countries are harmless, just annoying.

Gorillas don't typically eat meat, but if you go into their territory and piss them off they'll 100% wreck you
