I'l be honest.
I don't post in /brit/ but I spend at least 9 hours each day there. I just hang out and pretend I have friends by interacting with the posts people make. For example if someone says 'going to the shops lads' I will find a receipt and read it, and pretend that poster went to the shop with me and that I had a real life friend. Or if someone says 'watching x TV show' I flick it on and pretend we are watching together. I don't post but it gives me a release. Hell, last month I spent an entire 41 hour span in /brit/ without sleeping because a guy posted something about being up all night and I wanted it to be because I slept at his place.
