the kurds are immigrating to western turkey again because of the war, which will also cause problems. according to the leader of the kurdish party demirtas; if europe removed visa requirements from turkey at least 500k kurds would move to europe and apply as asylum seekers over there. turkey is winning the war in the south-east quite hard though which is good.
also turkey is still majority secular, %90+. i don't think that is going to change any time soon because i have read a study about the youth in turkey becoming increasingly irreligious, but the divide in the country both politically and religiously is increasing rapidly, which might devolve into a civil war if we get more happenings or an economic collapse
