The amount of actual French being muslim converts is almost nonexistent. There's nothing French about modern France's culture since ages anyway.

Varg, You do know that Buddhism (Pure land school, I believe) is the largest religion in Japan next to Shintoism (native animism/spiritualism)? They don't have the same sort of taboo as us, and hence basically allowed things like futa to emerge.

I think it had a lot to do with Christian's utter devotion to Christ and putting his commandments above worldly law. If forced to choose between Christ and the Shogun, a Christian chose Christ. And then there'd the whole "denying the divinity of the emperor" thing. That's why a way to "test" for Christianity was to force suspects to step on depictions of Christ.

If this is true (it's not), then that would be correct. This is also why France as we know and love it is dead. Same for other countries in Europe. The hour to act is now, but nobody is acting.

But we never really influenced Japanese culture and actively aided in their persecution of Christians (SHAMEFUR DISPRAY). We only had a tiny port, converted nobody and only did "Dutch teaching" (which basically meant teaching some of the locals science, history, philosophy, French and getting them caught up on what's happening in the rest of the world).
