You know what saddens me? I never managed to get 120 shine sprites, the complete deck, finis and denouement. It was always 119 and 9 blue coins. I could never locate the last blue coin, but I specifically remember it was in Pianta Village. I would literally spend entire moons and evenings of my childhood scavenging the levels for that last one blue coin. I so desperately wanted the euphoria that follows from finishing that game for good without using a manual. I never found it, mind you. What's worse is that I wake up one day to find the game's files have corrupted. Honest to God, I felt it was my duty to end it, my conscience could not lax knowing my work is unfinished. I remember spending days blowing on the disc, cleaning the console and replacing batteries, little things of despair. In the end, I knew I had to discard it, and so I broke the disc in half. It lasted a long ten years with me. It was a great investment, it really was. I never got to read the caption at the finale for myself: "Have a relaxing vacation." I don't remember having a relaxing vacation ever since.
