is quebec the best region on earth to be born in?

it's in canada, so it has comfortable weather

it's main language is french but quebecois have lots of contact with english speaking people so most of them must be bilingual, hence more cultured

it's first world and white

one winter up north and you'll think otherwise

Quebec is LITERALLY nothing special. It's North America + French, wow, fascinating. There's a reason why my family moved.
>>
>>58097724
Of course it is, except for the weather
>>
>>58097724
Unfortunately they want to be French so they are not right in the head.
>>

Bonjour tout le monde, comment allez vous aujourd'hui ?

Then why don't you move here? I'd rather have people like you here than people from Africa

Parlez-vous le français ?
>>

Not him, mais si tu veux parler le français, évite le sud de la province
>>

Mais, mon français n'est pas vraiment bon. Would people looking down their noses at me? Actuellement, j'irais au Québec si j'ai assez d'argent.

You can always work in an english environment while you live in a french neighborhood in Montreal. Then, when your french gets better, relocate somewhere else
>>
>>58103055
I suppose so. It's always been my childhood dream to move there. How's the pharmaceutical business over there?
t. 1 year away from my degree
>>
>>58097724
>so most of them must be bilingual
it is a good logic but it is false, most people would rather not speak english, cant learn it/ don't want to learn it

>>58102959
kek
>>
>>58103148
>How's the pharmaceutical business over there?
Not really an expert on that, but there's plenty of drug stores that need new employees since a lot of the population (mostly old people) uses medicaments like crazy, there is always demand. Also good luck to your first winter down here

Oh, well. Merci beaucoup pour votre réponse. Je pars maintenant, il est tard. Au revoir.
>>
>>58097724
Canada's weather isn't really what you'd call 'comfortable', outside of perhaps British Columbia, and Quebec's populace consists primarily of unilingual Francophones.
>>
>>58102687
Honduras is Africa-tier by every measure.

Is there a big Irish community?
How hard is it to find a bag of tayto or King?
>>
>>58104475
Not in quebec city where I was, I met maybe 3 other irish people the whole time I was there. Good luck getting tayto or king or any decent tea for that matter
>>
>>58104550
I guess I can trust mammy with care packages. How much French did you pick up? What's the cost of living? Considering I survive here with 600 a week.
>>
>>58104550
>>58104673
There's been a lot of Irish immigrants coming into my city, Regina, in the past few years. There's even a speciality shop near my house that sells Irish and Scottish brands of beverages and things, imported in.
>>
>>58104980
I've another question for you, and I don't mean to be rude at all. My cousin from Canada came over a few months back and we were showing him around Dublin. He was shocked when he seen that we can speak to strangers as if we were friends. Other things happened, but my point is: are Canadians cold people?

Also, how would an Irishman fair living in Canada? Would I expect racism to a certain extent?
>>
>>58105151
>are Canadians cold people?

A little bit, yes. Definitely more so Ireland.

>Also, how would an Irishman fair living in Canada? Would I expect racism to a certain extent?

No. If anything you could expect a little bit of the exact opposite, people being overly interested in asking you about Ireland and being glad to see a new arrival.

2012 to 2014, I'd highly recommend going. You'll have a great time and girls love the irish accent but brush up on you're french first it can get very hard without it. You don't need to know much just the basics like how to ask the time where do I get the bus etc.

I really do want to go. But my girlfriend doesn't seem to keen on going, and I think I love my relationship more than my dream of Canada. I'm still trying to get her to come round to the idea. Or to see if she could do 6 months at the least.
Et, mon français est bien. Je pense...

I'll tell you right now Mr. Ire,
Quebecois, from personal experience are MUCH friendlier than Anglophones. I'm from Alberta where ppl hate Quebec, but honestly, they're less snobby and a lot nicer than Anglophones.
>>
>>58106807
Ey, St. Albert by any chance?
>>
>>58106788
Why don't you go? I bet you can get weaboo pussy.
>>
>>58106868

lol
Nah Edmonton. I moved to Ottawa 4 years ago, so I cross over to Quebec regularly.
But trust me, I went to Montreal during the summer and it's top-tier.
Clean, fashionable, attractive people, cheap, lovely architecture, and literally. NO. FAT. PEOPLE.
>>
>>58106891
Funny you should say that, because that's exactly what I was thinking about.

I've seen some footage, some of these people actually seem to know their shit.
>>
>>58106905
Do you know any bretons?
>>
>>58106764
We we're going out about a year and a half, Trust me quebec women are THE best looking women in my life HANDS DOWN. Very friendly and approachable too
>>
>>58106965

>Bretons
Nope.

But they do have Irish communities out west from what I've heard. Just dunno where.
>>
>>58106984
Lol, I haven't even kissed am Irish girl, let alone gone out with one. If things between herself and I get sour at any point, it'll definitely be at the top of my list. Did you bring home any cute Canadians?
>>58107005
It was worth a shot.

Don't let that deter you. Quebec, I'm not gonna lie is an absolute shithole. The only nice places are in QC and MTL. I highly recommend you see them tho
>>
>>58107077
For a holiday, definitely.

lol are you for real, Paco?

And on top of that, Quebec of all places...
>>
>>58107114
That's always good. Did you ever make your way South of the border?
>>
>>58107199
No, It's a bit tricky getting around without a car over there. The public transport is atrocious and very expensive so I never bothered. It's still my dream to travel around the states, If only it wasn't so hard to emigrate there
>>
>>58107330
Yeah, not to mention expensive. The sister and her boyfriend are flying into new york on Thursday. It cost them 700 between the two of them for visas. He had two warrants out for his arrest (TV licence and speeding).
>>
>>58107388
How did he get a visa? J1?
>>
>>58107517
Nah, not a student one. I couldn't say for sure, all u know is that he walked into the embassy near sandymount and left without 400 euro, the rest went to cover his fines. Which is weird, because I thought the Irish passport gave you a two week visa on arrival?
