Was a pyrrhic victory. We lost in the sense that we gave ground, but the Brits lost waaaaay too many officers and enlisted doing it. Bunker Hill was what gave the rest of the world the idea that those drunk tax-evading farmers actually had a fighting chance. It was essentially a civil war in the colonies. It's said a third supported the crown, a third supported the patriots, and a final third didn't care who won as long as the war was over. A decent amount of Loyalists left the colonies for Canada once the war was over.
