Macaroni casserole, Even though it's pasta it's probably one of the most common dishes in Finland. Everyone has gone through a shitload of this here at least as a kid. It's just macaroni, cheese, minced meat, onion, egg and milk blasted in the oven and served with ketchup usually.

They can in my neighborhood :)
>>58087439
They have actually. Irn Bru taffy, battered and fried (lol). I also saw Gummy worms. They will fry anything that fits in a fryer.
>>58087816
I know you can just mix it with Vodka, that is what WKD is after all, but I'm talking about fermenting the liquid and using the sugars of the drink to convert it alcoholic.

Kind of have a similar thing going here, but with fish gratin.
Everyone eats fish gratin in Norway, especially while growing up.

For that matter I haven't seen any foreigners ever eat a crumpet. They are just so nice when toasted until crispy and then covered in butter which melts into the holes.
But don't take my word for it, The Muppets can show you:

kool-aid pickles (koolickles) are popular round the Mississippi Delta
>>58099720
What exactly is Cool aid? I first thought it was squash, but then I saw that it s a powder.
>>58099830
basically just flavored sugar powder you add to water, it's cheap so it's popular in poor areas
>>58099883
So it is like a powdered squash then, now that raises a second question. If it is just squash, how is it acidic enough to pickle those cucumbers into gherkins?
>>58099940
the idea with the koolickles is to remove the brine from a jar of pickles, then mix the powder into it as a substitute for water and let it sit for a good while
>>58095195
I used to eat crumpets all the time. They sell them in any supermarket here.
>>58100049
Really? Then why do so many yanks think they are just breakfast muffins and then say they have never heard of them?
>>58100089
English muffins are definitely more popular. There is usually like a whole shelf of them and the different varieties, but crumpets are always nearby. Not hard to find at all and people buy them in my area, maybe not elsewhere.

Scotch Eggs are the SHIT, whenever I'm in London for work I always hit up the market and grab some.
>>58100503
I'm sure I have seen you post that picture before.
Have you ever tried a Manchester egg? It's a scotch egg but combines sausage meat and black pudding, something i know makes Americans a little uneasy.
>>58100487
>deep-fried.
But how an egg can be boiled and then deep fried and the yolk is still quite thin?
>>58100786
I have not, the last one I tried was a chorizo version of the scotch egg, I think that same vendor had black pudding ones as well I should have tried one then but I didn't want to eat too much at one place.
>>58100810
Heston did a programme and in one of the episodes he showed you how. Basically you under cook the egg so it is a solid outside but still raw on the inside, by taking it out of the water and dropping it in a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process, before finishing it off in the oil.
I'll see if it's on youtube.
this is blocked in the UK by jews so you will have to see if this is the episode with it in:

>>58088174
some good quality ham pieces and bacon + mustard is usually what i go with peasoup.
Ofcourse you have to have some pancake as desert or you're not finnish.
We also have Fondue Bourguignonne. Basically it's only cubes of beef that you put at the end of a stick and plunge it into boiling oil for a minute, and then eat it with various sauces.
