Where do you work /int/?

I'm currently unemployed going on nearly 2 years now thinking of doing Information Systems degree at university.
>>
>>58061192
I work in a warehouse, but I will be starting a plumbing apprenticeship soon.
>>
>>58061192
I'm just graduating from Uni with a degree in Engineering Physics and I'm terrified.

I don't know what to do about jobs.
>>
>>58061192
mechanical engineering student in university
>>
>>58061315
That's a good idea idk if trades are huge in the U.S. but they are in Aus.

>>58061489
The job market seems to be fucked everywhere I know it is in Brisbane where I'm from
>>
>>58061550
>That's a good idea idk if trades are huge in the U.S. but they are in Aus

Yeah, HVAC techs and plumbers are in huge demand here in the US. Same with electicians.
>>
Campus job driving a golf cart

>>
>>58061192
UPS delivery guy, it's probably the best job I could get with my level of education. Not that I'm complaining it's a great job and it pays well.
>>
>>58061912
Don't delivery drivers usually have 10-12/hr days? The pay seems excellent (my buddy gets 50K/yr), but it would kinda suck always having to work 50+ hour weeks constantly.
>>
>>58061995
That's if you decide to actually do overtime, which I do. Those hours are worth it though, ~$98k a year here thanks to overtime.
>>
Do you think someone with little mathematical ability could do a computer science degree?
>>
>>58062063
You normally need maths qualifications but if you have foundation degrees in aus you could probably do one of those
>>
>>58062063
No, but that does not mean you cannot find a career in tech. I am not sure if they are in demand in Austrailia, but you should look into what certifications you need to become a SysAdmin. Math skills are still important, but they do not need be on the level needed to get a CompSci degree.

My mathematical ability is average/mediocre, but I excel as a SysAdmin, make around 75K per-year.
>>
>>58061192
A warehouse
>>
>>58062141
I want to work more with hardware then software anyway that's why I was thinking Information Systems I just think Computer Science would be more valuable.
>>
>>58061192

dat fourth pic

where do i cop a badman shirt like that? old dude looks fly as a motherfucker
>>
>>58062192
Tech is hard in aus well at least the state I live in at the moment it's all contract jobs but I don't see myself doing anything else I think Information Systems degree is my inline with getting a System Administrator job.
>>
>>58061192
I am working part time with cleaning, cutting grass and other small stuff. Just something while waiting for going to uni.

How many niggers have you beaten?
>>
>>58062037
Cool, I might look into that, then. I do not have any experience as a delivery driver, but I heard that UPS trains package handlers that show themselves to be hard-workers.
>>
>>58062342
Seriously, what area do you work with? Gangs or patrolling or some other cool stuff?
>>
>>58062323
How did you get into that? I'm finishing a bachelor with finance by the middle of this year and your role seems interesting.

I tried making a related thread about this a couple days back but it didn't go anywhere. Since it's related, I'll ask here...

I finish my MATESOL next year and it's getting to where I need to nail down a solid plan of where I should teach English at. What country would be best?

I am not a cop.
We used to remove the homeless from public property, including the restrooms, but they have lawyers, now.
Seriously, they have sued us.
>>
>>58062452
Oh I thought it said LAPD.... It is a bit early right now.
>>
>>58062466
Japan
>>
>>58062484
I read LAPD, I just woke up...

Haha that is hilarious, how the hell do they get lawyers?
>>
>>58062489
That's what they all tell me...everyone except the people in the Japanese thread here.

I'm not sure if I should heed their advice because it's people who have been there, or discount it because...well, it's the Japan thread on /int/.

Sorry, not a cop.
Think of me as a janitor/landscaper/equipment operator but for the beach.
I'm assigned to Malibu.
I see a lot of celebrities, but I never gave a shit about celebrities.
>>

I'm a high school English teacher. Currently grading some penultimate final papers, and more and more I realize that most high schoolers are retarded
>>
>>58062570
That's why I'm getting my Master's. I refuse to work with children or teens.

Because Lawyers are scum who go around seeking ways to steal more taxpayer shekels.
They see us throwing a bunch of flea ridden blankets and stolen shopping carts full of garbage smeared with feces and think "I can make some money off of that". Sot hey represent a complete piece of shit degenerate pro bono.
>>
>>58062593
But there are students who make it worth it. I wouldn't keep this shitty job if I didn't love it so much
>>
>>58062632
Do you want to bang the girls?
>>
>>58062537
Do you enjoy the work? I think you should try to bang a celebrity at least.

>>58062596
Lawyers are the scum of the earth. Do they win the cases in favor for the homeless?
>>
>>58062451
Just got on an intership after uni. Got a full-time job after two months.
>>
>>58061192
Lineworker.

I once failed studies, that's where I ended up.
>>
>>58062649
Master's fag here.
Even though my students were college-age (and some were pretty qt) I'd never feel any sexual attraction to them. It just wouldn't be right at all. The grossness inherent in teacher-student relationships makes it a boner killer.

Labourer for a groundskeeping business. Honestly it's a fuckload better than I expected it to be.

lol, everyone bothers celebrities, they just want to be left alone sometimes.
They know we know who they are and they appreciate it when we don't bother them.
And yeah, they won.
If they didn't we would still have the ability to remove drug addicts and bums from the restrooms and parks and throw their shit from ther camps into a trash compactor.
now we have to be polite to them and when we take their stuff, we have to hold it for them at our yard and catalog everything.
>>
I'm honestly thinking about just working at Coles the rest of my life eventually I'll become manager of a department and I could live a comfortable life the money isn't so bad and it's not stressful.
>>
>>58062649
No. Have even a single conversation with them, and any attraction fades instantly. However, lots of my coworkers are fucking each other, having affairs with other teachers, etc..
>>
>>58062890
Have you ever met any high schoolers who seemed wise beyond their years?

It's been ages since I was in high school, and I have always wondered how the smart kids appeared to the teachers.
>>
>>58061192
have been self employed since i was 13. 20 years on and never worked for anyone but myself
>>
>>58062744
Wow, you must really hate lawyers. Do you have any fun bum/drug addicts stories to tell?

One guy tried to stab a co-worker with a machete.
He tried to sneak up behind him with it but another employee saw it and yelled, the co-worker turned around and grabbed a shovel off the truck and they fought it out.
Cops told us the homeless guy was a convicted killer.
Some cocksuckers picked a fight with a lifeguard at Venice Beach. Littel did they know that's gotta be the toughest lifeguard on the coast.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yCZE2Ir-WZA
The cops saw things his way.
That guy was shot point blank once and calmly drove himself to the hospital.
